Rectal
Fissure and Haemorrhoids
remain on the top list of the most common
colorectal complains. Currently, there are a variety of therapeutic
options for rectal fissure and haemorrhoids, and the severity of these
disease determines the proper therapy. Added to the present types of therapies is a uniquely designed suppository that is
used primarily to treat internal and external haemorrhoids and also is
used for treatment of anal fissures. The Rectal Rocket, designed by
compounding pharmacist Robert and Jerry Boudreaus, delivers nifedipine
or diltiazem
and hydrocortisone directly to the site of inflammation and heals
injured tissue.

Example
of Rectal formula:

Unique Design of
the Rectal Rocket
The design of the rectal rocket differs form that of manufactured
suppositories. The contoured front end and a flared bottom ensure that
the suppository remains in continuous contact with the anal sphincter
and the external perianal area thus treating both internal and external
hemorrhoids simultaneously. The rectal rocket also
features a slit that runs the length of the suppository to enable the
passage of flatulence without expulsion of the rectal rocket.
